“All About It” by Hoodie Allen ft Ed Sheeran
I have only just discovered Ed Sheeran and I’m a little bit in love with this leprechaun. Particularly his UK hip hop/rap collabs (I might have a small, secret obsession with UK hip hop and rap, don’t tell anyone).
“Some Gave All” by Billy Ray Cyrus
In memory of those who gave all.
“Angel” by Sarah McLachlan, with Pink
This is one of the most amazing things I’ve heard in a while.
“Just a Kiss” by Lady Antebellum
“Ring of Fire” as done by Home Free ft Avi Kaplan
Yes, again. Love these guys!
“Cruel to be Kind” by Letters to Cleo
This would be the version from 10 Things I Hate About You. I love that movie.
“Down in the River to Pray” – southern spiritual, as sung by Apollo’s Fire
For my Holy Mother, Danu. I realize that this is a Christian spiritual, just as I realize the river referred to in the lyrics is a physical river. But this song always makes me think of Her. Yesterday, as I was spending time getting to know two of my new Gods, I stumbled across this song (though a different version) and just like that, She was with me and all was Hers. She, along with an’Dagda, will always be first in my heart and is never far from my thoughts. So this song is offered up to the Celestial River of Life, as She has revealed Herself to me.
“Inhale Deep” by Macklemore
Macklemore may be my dirty little secret. I’m not, generally, a big hip hop fan; most of my love of hip hop shows itself in cheesy songs like “Baby Got Back” and songs that remind me of being 18 and going clubbing in college. But I love the Mac and I love the messages he puts out.
