Wow, what a week!

So, last week was killer!  I don’t think I got above 5 hours sleep at a time last week, and as I wake up today – the start of a new week – I almost feel as if I was sick last week.  Except for the fact that I had Bren and Nessa all week, which is way too much fun to call being sick!  But as Sir Joshimus was leaving for work this morning, it hit me pretty hard that I feel as if I have hardly seen him in forever.   Part of that was a busy weekend on top of last week.  We had the kids on Saturday and then had their birthday party (their birthdays are really close and their Mama, Cortney, had her family come in for a party) on Sunday.

The biggest downer about all of this is the fact that I haven’t ridden further than to Nikki and Cortney’s house in over three weeks.  THREE WEEKS!  I’m dying here!  Okay, that was a little over the top, but then again, this is me.  I really have been missing riding, and really hate that I haven’t had any new videos for you guys!  But Joshimus Rex, in perfect him style, noted that I don’t have the kids on Wednesday and told me “if the weather is nice, we’re going riding!”  And who am I to argue with my amazing hubby?  So I am eagerly awaiting Wednesday to get here.  We won’t be able to go ride until after Sir Joshimus gets off work, so it’ll be a late ride – I likely won’t be able to get another video together in time for Wordless Wednesday.  And, to be honest, since it will be the first time I’ve been out in so long, I might not take video anyway.  BUT, we will go out at least this weekend and get some video, or I’ll scrounge through the videos I’ve already got and see if I can’t cut something new together for you – though I’d much prefer to just get new video.  Either way, I’m going to do my best to get you guys a video by next Wednesday, promise!

It really feels like I should have a bigger update for you guys, because it’s been such a long feeling week and seems like it’s been so long since I’ve updated.  But it was just a matter of getting through one day and the next on that crazy schedule (which we’ll have come up again the week after Independence Day) with bright interludes with some of our favorite people.  The good news is that I know we’ll be able to get through the next week like this and be over it before we make the trip to see my brother, sister-in-law, and their children.  And yes, I’m still ridiculously excited about it.  Yeah, a lot of it is about meeting Miss Raylynn, but also getting to know the two awesome young men that we got as nephews when they got married, too.  Because, in case you didn’t know, they are adorable.  Well, the younger one is adorable.  The older one is a teenager and I’m sure he’d happily roll his eyes at me if he heard the sentiment, lol.  I know I would have in his place.

So, hopefully we’ll be acting like normal people around here for a couple of weeks before we go completely mad in the month of July.  And possibly part of August, since that’s when my birthday is and we should go crazy for my birthday!  Okay, not really.  But cake and ice cream would definitely be nice. 😀
