Storm and sleep

So, last night Chicago had a righteous storm!  It was great, and it dropped the temp like twenty degrees or more.  One of the things I miss most about living in Mississippi is the summer storms, the days at a time of serious storms where you can watch the rain flow through the trees.  Here it’s more short showers with very little storm to them. I love the thunder and lightning, and most summer storms here seem to lack that spirit.  But not last night.  Last night, that storm was pissed!  It was beautiful!  And then, after it was over and done, the world was that bright, cloudy, unreal look that it gets at sunset with the right mix of cloud cover.  The hubs and I got some pictures, and they’re pretty, though they really don’t do it justice.  ^__^

And then, last night, I slept all night.  In fact, I probably got 15 hours of sleep!  It was beautiful, especially since the night before last, I didn’t sleep at all.  Just one of those cycles that I go through, but it was such a relief to get some good sleep.  It’s something that I try really hard not to worry since we’re trying to get pregnant.  Because, you know, worrying is not good for you.  *rolls eyes*  Getting that good night’s (and half a day’s) sleep helps me not have to try to not worry about it.  ^__^

    • I created some photo albums, did some restructuring. Took me a couple of hours to figure out how to get it to work how I wanted it to. ^__^

    • Just realized what you were asking about (I saw your comment on my dashboard, so didn’t look at it that closely). I’m an insomniac, so I go through phases where I can’t sleep or can’t sleep well. I’ve been like this my whole life. So on the night in question, I lay awake all night. Nothing exciting because the hubs had to go to work the next morning.

Please, let me know what you think!
